After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 (Phelan, Prescott & Co / KPMG), David worked as an Accountant in Industry (Food Processing, Hotels, Transport / Engineering) for 14 years. In 2002, David set up David M. Breen & Co as a client focused professional practice committed to assisting clients in achieving their goals.
David is a member of the Waterford Rotary Club (Foundation Chair) and is an avid Rugby Supporter. He coaches Mini Rugby and was Treasurer of Waterpark RFC for four years during which their new changing room and other facilities were constructed. David is on the Finance Committee of Waterford Tall Ships 2011 and was on the Task Force set up to decide on the future of Waterford Crystal which resulted in the new manufacturing and retail facility in 2010.
Caroline qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006 and was admitted as an Associate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland in February 2007. Caroline received her Auditing Certificate in 2009 and holds an honours Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from Waterford Institute of Technology.
Caroline trained with O'Brien Harnett & Associates, Dublin where she progressed to position of Manager. Caroline commenced with David M. Breen & Co. in July 2008. Caroline has gained substantial experience in sole traders, small and medium sized entities, in planning and executing audit assignments, Religious Orders, Charitable Entities, Company Secretarial and Voluntary Liquidations. She has considerable expertise in accounting and payroll software.
Darragh McCormack holds a Certificate in Business Studies from Athlone Institute of Technology.
He joined David M. Breen & Co in 2005 having previously worked in both practice and industry.
Darragh is currently sitting his Final Chartered Certified Exams.
Frances Callaghan has many years experience in working in various Offices and deals with Payroll , Book Keeping and Administration at David M Breen & Co.
